Monsieur Minimal is Christos Tsitroudis, an electronica music composer from Thessaloniki, Greece. This is his first album released in 2008 with The Sound of Everything, a promising Greek electronic label. The album was born through the underground site of the Hellenic indie scene, but evolved into a pop album with excellent response to a very wide range of listeners. Really great debut. Get it now!

Halley - Forget the Leaves, Autumn Will Change Us

Halley was a band from Austin, Texas, formed in 1998 and disbanded in 2005. This is their first (and final) album, released in 2002. Their music covers everything from noisy pop, with the opening song bombarding the listener with a barrage of trumpets and trombones, to drum machine based arrangements, heavy noisy rock, and a waltz, to the final moments of an 11 minute song ending the record complete with a choir, strings, horns and a harp to finish off the solid structure of sound. Really really good!

Devics - My Beautiful Sinking Ship

Devics are vocalist Sara Lov and multi-instrumentalist (and sometimes singer) Dustin O’Halloran, a musical duo from Los Angeles who found a home in Italy after signing to the UK label, Bella Union. The past couple of years they have been working on their solo projects. This is their best album in my opinion; beautiful melancholic music! Sara Lov's voice is out of this world! Highly recommended!
