Giardini di Mirò is one of the best post-rock bands and their 2001 debut is one of my favourite post-rock albums. This album is a beautiful soundtrack for “Il Fuoco”, a 1916 Italian silent movie directed by Giovanni Pastron. An excellent combination of post-rock, electronic and ambient music!

Luigi Rubino is an Italian pianist, also member of Ashram. This is his debut solo album, released earlier this year, which features incredibly delicate, symphonic orchestrations. The sounds of piano, violin and cello create an emotional nostalgic atmosphere. Beautiful!

En Plein Air is a post-rock band from Rome, Italy, that combines the post-rock guitar sound with the melodic, melancholic sound of violin and cello. Their debut EP is simply astounding. Highly recommended!
