Originally formed as a one-man project by lead provocateur, Glasgow-based Alan McNeill, Engine7 now comprises six members with a bass player, backing vocalists and live video artist accompanying McNeill. ‘Me, But Perfect’ delivers an incendiary slice of modern electronic music, heavily laden with stirring post-rock guitar and bass rhythms, staccato beats, dark and broody atmospherics - all coated with a rich layer of glitched up sonic ambience.
